Your provider. Our relay. Zero friction.
SMTP Hopper speaks fluent SMTP to every major mail provider — pick yours in Settings, and connector changes take effect instantly with no service restart.
Two trust models, every provider covered
Whether your organization trusts by IP or by credentials, SMTP Hopper has a first-class path for it.
Microsoft 365 — IP connector mode
Built for organizations on Exchange Online. Configure an inbound connector in the Microsoft 365 admin center scoped to your relay's static public IP, and SMTP Hopper delivers over STARTTLS with full certificate validation.
- No credentials stored — trust is by source IP, so there's nothing to leak or rotate.
- Standard TLS certificate validation on every outbound connection — never relaxed.
- Ideal for on-premises fleets with a static public IP or static NAT mapping.
Authenticated providers — SMTP AUTH mode
For Amazon SES, SMTP2GO, SendGrid, Mailgun, Postmark, or any authenticated smarthost: enter the username and password from your provider, pick the matching TLS mode, and you're relaying.
- No static IP required — perfect for dynamic-IP sites and branch offices.
- STARTTLS on 587/2525 or implicit TLS on 465 — matched to your provider's docs.
- Saving settings with a blank password keeps the stored one — no accidental wipes.
TLS your way
Pick the encryption mode that matches your provider's port — SMTP Hopper handles the handshake.
STARTTLS
Connects plaintext and upgrades to TLS after EHLO. The standard for ports 587, 2525, and 25 — and the mode Microsoft 365 connectors use.
Implicit TLS
Encrypted from the instant the socket opens. The standard for port 465, supported by SES, SMTP2GO, SendGrid, Mailgun, and Postmark alike.
Certificate validation
Outbound certificates are always validated against the real target — never relaxed in production. Your mail travels encrypted to a verified endpoint, every hop.
Switch providers without touching a single device
Because your printers and apps talk to SMTP Hopper — not to your provider — changing upstream is a Settings-page edit, not a fleet reconfiguration project. Migrate from one provider to another, and devices will never know the difference. Connector changes apply on the very next delivery attempt, no restart needed.
